Paul Simon will bring ‘So Beautiful or So What’ tour to DPAC

The Durham Performing Arts Center has landed yet another legendary musician.

With 16 studio albums to his name, singer-songwriter Paul Simon will bring his “So Beautiful or So What” tour to DPAC Dec. 1. Tickets go on sale Oct. 21 at 10 a.m.

“Having an artist like Paul Simon choose DPAC is such an honor,” DPAC GM Bob Klaus said in a statement. “His last appearance in North Carolina almost twenty years ago … in the opening season at Walnut Creek. Triangle concert fans have waited a long time for this return.”

Simon released his most recent LP April 8 through Starbucks record label Hear Music. On Oct. 24, he will release Songwriter, a retrospective collection of songs handpicked by Simon.

In his nearly 60-year career, Simon has released seven number one albums and earned 12 Grammy Awards in addition to five nominations.
