It looks like The Monkees missed the last train to Durham because the iconic ’60s pop band has canceled the remainder of its 45th anniversary tour.

The band was set to perform at the Durham Performing Arts Center Sept. 1, but the band announced Tuesday that they would cancel the remainder of the dates on its reunion tour.

A representative for drummer/vocalist Micky Dolenz told TMZ the band decided to cancel the tour due to a miscommunication with its management.

“Management had booked a number of dates with the venues without running them by the group first,” the rep said, “so we had to cancel the remaining dates.”

The tour, which kicked off in the U.K. in May, saw Peter Tork, Mickey Dolenz and Davy Jones teaming up for the first time in 10 years.

Prior to the start of the tour, The Monkees denied rumors suggesting they were struggling to get along during rehearsals.
