Iconic rock band Blondie will bring its Panic of Girls Tour to the Durham Performing Arts Center as the summer makes way to fall.

Celebrating the release of its ninth studio album, and first new album in eight years, Blondie will take the stage at DPAC September 21. Tickets start at $42 and go on sale July 15 at 10 a.m.

“With every new show, DPAC takes another step in our journey to host the biggest and most important groundbreaking acts in live music,” DPAC General Manager Bob Klaus said in a statement.

“It’s a rare evening with legends in our special theater setting that DPAC fans have come to know for magical, intimate, great sounding shows.”

Featuring original members Debbie Harry (vocals), Chris Stein (guitar, bass) and Clem Burke (drums), Blondie released Panic of Girls digitally May 30, followed by a physical release July 4.

The band’s 1978 album Parallel Lines, led by singles “Heart of Glass” and “One Way or Another,” propelled Blondie to an iconic stature.
