The Durham Bulls today announced the cancellation of the Boston Pops and Kenny Loggins concert originally scheduled for August 16.
The show, which was to feature the orchestra’s performance of “The Star Spangled Banner,” John Philip Sousa’s “National Game” March, “Casey at the Bat,” “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” and highlights from the film The Natural, was to take place as the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Organizers say the cancellation is a result of the current unfortunate economic climate, including corporate sponsorship that did not materialize.
Ticket purchases, including service charges, will be fully refunded.
