The Weezy one will return to Raleigh nearly two years after he attracted more than 15,000 fans to the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion.

Lil Wayne — joined by Rick Ross, Keri Hilson, Far East Movement and Lloyd — today announced the addition of 40 dates to his I Am Still Music Tour. Among the dates is a stop at the Walnut Creek amphitheatre on July 29.

So basically, what this will mean is a prominent split in Raleigh: Team Lil Wayne vs. Team Bon Iver. Maybe we can hope for some auto-tuned Justin Vernon at the Lil Wayne gig.

Ticket information is not yet available, but after the 2008/2009 fiasco during which Lil Wayne canceled his Raleigh performance and later announced Greensboro and Charlotte shows, we may wait this one out a bit.

Lil Wayne is set to release his ninth studio album, Tha Carter IV, on June 21 through Young Money/Universal Motown. Coincidentally the album features Justin Vernon on the track “Hard Talk,” along with Game.

Even further, Bon Iver will drop its sophomore LP, Bon Iver, Bon Iver, the same day as Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV.
