Bowerbirds, Mount Moriah to perform at Motorco

Prior to their massive gig with Arcade Fire in Charlottesville, Bowerbirds will play a warm-up date of sorts at Motorco in Durham.

Joined by Mount Moriah, Bowerbirds will take the stage at the gorgeous new venue June 5. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 the day of the show.

But seriously, get these tickets in advance.

Bowerbirds have been hard at work on the follow-up to the band’s gorgeous 2009 sophomore release, Upper Air. So hopefully we’ll get a preview of some of those tracks before they take them to nTelos Wireless Pavilion June 8.

Mount Moriah, meanwhile, released one of favorite albums of the year on April 12.
