Lo-fi indie rockers Times New Viking are gearing up to release their Merge Records debut, and in support the band is hitting the road hard across Europe followed by the U.S.

After returning from Europe in early May, the trio will make their way to Local 506 in Chapel Hill on June 2. Ticket information is not yet available.

Dancer Equired will be released through Merge on April 26. Merge says the album “abandons the pissy histrionics of the past,” though it “retains the loud, brash, mammoth guitars but also magnifies the bright, beautiful traits the band has nurtured since the beginning.”
