Death Cab for Cutie coming to Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre

In one of the more odder announcements, Cat’s Cradle will bring Death Cab for Cutie to Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre.

Death Cab had previously been rumored to be taking on the Raleigh Amphitheater, and we can say that the band’s placement at the typically Americana-friendly Koka Booth is an odd one.

Perhaps the draw was Koka Booth’s ability to accommodate 1,500 more bodies.

Regardless, the band, who is gearing up to release its seventh studio album in May, will perform at Cary’s shed August 8 with Frightened Rabbit. Tickets go on sale May 6 at 10 a.m.

Death Cab for Cutie will release Codes and Keys May 31 through Atlantic Records.
