The Decemberists, Best Coast Coming To Raleigh Amphitheater

As we previously noted, the new Raleigh Amphitheater‘s sophomore season is already working out to be much more appealing that the venue’s inaugural season.

In addition the Wiz Khalifa and Pretty Lights, this season promises to bring The Decemberists‘ Popes of Pendarvia World Tour to the Downtown Raleigh amphitheater on June 11. Joining the band will be Best Coast.

Fan club ticket pre-sales are available now through The Decemberists’ website. Tickets go on sale to the general public March 18 for between $25 and $35.

The Decemberists released their sixth studio album, The King Is Dead, Jan. 14 through Capitol Records. The band will also release a Record Store Day-exclusive EP, Live At Bull Moose, April 16. The Decemberists last performed in Raleigh June 4, 2009 at Memorial Auditorium at the Progress Energy Center.

Best Coast more recently performed in the Triangle when she appeared at Cat’s Cradle along with Wavves on Jan. 29. She released her debut album, Crazy For You, in July 2010 through Mexican Summer.
