All Day Records, the awesome all-vinyl shop in Carrboro, will host Xiu Xiu for a special “noise/experimental set” this Saturday, Jan. 8.
The show is scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m., and joining Xiu Xiu will be Carrboro-based experimental musician Secret Boyfriend.
Xiu Xiu, which is fronted by Durham resident Jamie Stewart, says that fans shouldn’t expect the band’s “regular set.”
“Which means more cymbals, more bells, more gameboy!” the band posted on Facebook.
Kill Rock Stars released Xiu Xiu’s seventh studio album, Dear God, I Hate Myself, in February of 2010. Secret Boyfriend dropped a split-12″ with Horaflora on the A-side in October through Hot Releases, a “noise” label operated by Secret Boyfriend’s Ryan Martin.
All Day Records is located at 112A E Main Street in Carrboro.
