Baltimore’s Wye Oak is set to hit the road in March in support of its third full-length record.
The tour, which kicks off March 11 in D.C., will keep the band on the road through mid-April. A stop scheduled for March 12 at Local 506 in Chapel Hill, with fellow Baltimore act Lower Dens.
Tickets for the show are $8 in advance or $10 the day of the show.
The show will be the second time in two months that Lower Dens performs in the area. On Jan. 12 Cat’s Cradle will host them alongside The Walkmen.
Wye Oak will release Civilian March 8 through Merge Records. The album is the follow-up to 2009′s The Knot and the 2010 EP My Neighbor / My Creator.
“Civilian” by Wye Oak
Merge describes the album as “kind of 21st-century folk music, imbued with dense shoegaze guitars, nearly melodic rhythms, and impeccable splashes of electronic color.”
