Hopscotch Leak: Richard Buckner, Bowerbirds, Sharon Van Etten, Ryan Gustafson

Things have remained pretty quiet in the Hopscotch camp since the last batch announcement of bands performing at the massive Downtown Raleigh music festival.

But that is perhaps partly due to the fact that the festival lineup has been unveiled, the venues announced and tickets are on sale. It would seem little else needs to be said between now and Sept. 9 — unless you’re anxious for the anticipated festival schedule reveal.

After all, with 120 bands spread over 10 venues and three days, some advance planning may be needed.

That full announcement isn’t expected until July, but a few shows have already begun to leak out. Not the least of which include the 9th Wonder-curated showcase at Lincoln Theatre on Sept. 10, a Future Islands-curated bill on Sept. 9 and of course the City Plaza shows.

But word now comes of another show that will give 9th’s showcase a run for its money on Sept. 10. At The Pour House, fans can expect a bill featuring the Triangle’s own Bowerbirds and Ryan Gustafson as well as Merge recording artist Richard Buckner and Brooklyn’s Sharon Van Etten.

This should be the first of many more leaks to come between now and Sept. 9.
