Although born in the musically rich area of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, singer-songwriter Erik Smallwood has found comfort in calling the Triangle home.
SetlistOne More Time |
Originally finding himself in Raleigh at the urging of a friend, Erik later relocated to Fayetteville for a job. But when the recession came calling, Erik found reason to revisit his passion.
Playing gigs nearly seven nights a week, Erik has returned to his roots and seen his craft evolve from pop numbers to the country tinged R&B that made Muscle Shoals the powerhouse region it is today.

Awesome! I was totally surprised to awake and see Erik on NCB17 Saturday morning and after watching the short on TV, I immediately went to the website to see more. On many Sunday nights I have had the pleasure to introduce Erik at the Coffee Scene Java Expressions where he has shared his music with those of us in Fayetteville. We in Fayetteville are so lucky to have artists like Erik. Unlike many who are not sure what life paths to follow, EriK has made it clear to all who know him, that he truly loves music. To this end he has worked tirelessly in his efforts and his music tells his stories.
