Much like The Love Language, bassist Josh Pope’s recording project is about to break away from the glass box that is the Internet and go live.
The Light Pines started out as a recording project for Pope and fellow The Love Language bandmates Kate Thompson and Tom Simpson — even going so far as to release a self-titled debut — but he’s since expanded the lineup and the full band is ready to make its live debut.
“Black Swans” by The Light Pines
The Love Language frontman Stuart McLamb says that the final lineup for The Light Pines will consist of himself, Simpson, Thompson, Pope, Jordan McLamb and Max Indian‘s Carter Gaj and James Wallace.
“It’s very transcendental and spaced out,” Stuart explains of the project.
Stuart says the band has been rehearsing for a show coming up on Sept. 19 at Musicfest NW in Portland, Oregon. The show will be at Rontoms as part of a Bladen County Records Showcase with The Love Language, Oh Captain, My Captain, Autopilot is for Lovers and many more.
As for the Triangle, Stuart says fans can expect a date to creep up after the Musicfest NW show.
