After announcing a tour throughout much of September and October, one glaring omission from Polvo’s schedule was a hometown show to celebrate the release of its first album in 12 years.

That problem will soon be remedied when the math rock trailblazers perform at Cat’s Cradle on Oct. 17.

Tickets will be $10, while on-sale date and supporting act information is not yet available, but is expected soon.

Polvo will release In Prism on Sept. 8 through Merge Records, it is the band’s first new release in 12 years and first album with Merge since 1995’s This Eclipse EP.
