From The Desmonds — who were founded in 1992 as Jeff Carroll & The Desmonds — to the duo that is Veelee — who is riding a wave of praise for their recently released debut EP — this year’s Troika Music Festival will offer some of the best acts — new and old — the Triangle has to offer.

After presenting the question to fans of who they would like to see at the festival, Troika revealed an initial lineup of more than 55 bands. And the list won’t stop there as the organizers promise “more bands announced in the coming weeks” as well as “some great surprises.”

Passes to the three-day festival will be available beginning Aug. 15, although details and pricing are not yet available. The Troika Music Festival will span 10 stages in Durham from Nov. 5 through 7.
