Cat’s Cradle is planning a showcase of Triangle bands on Aug. 29 to coincide with the release of the Hear Here: The Triangle compilation.

The showcase will feature performances from Birds of Avalon, Hammer No More The Fingers, The Never and Annuals.

Hear Here: The Triangle is a compilation developed by Terpsikhore Records, Flying Tiger Sound and WKNC 88.1. The album will feature exclusive tracks recorded at Flying Tiger Sound by Triangle musicians.

“The aim of the project is to tie together the always growing, very diverse local music scene of this small part of our great state,” a release from Terpsikhore says.

Proceeds from album sales will benefit The Visual Art Exchange — Raleigh’s oldest private non-profit visual arts organization.

The comp will feature tracks from The Love Language, Birds of Avalon, The Kingsbury Manx, The Old Ceremony, Sunfold, Lonnie Walker, The Never, Blount Harvey, Kooley High, The Beast, Colossus, Hammer No More the Fingers, Inflowential, Americans in France, The Static Minds and Motor Skills.
