I kid I kid. The 2009 North Carolina State Fair has announced a pretty solid lineup of acts for those looking for wholesome country, family friendly and Christian artists.

Sessions At Studio B With Jason Michael Carroll
The Triangle’s own Jason Michael Carroll is scheduled to kickoff the fair with a performance on Oct. 15, tickets for that show are only $5. Also from North Carolina, American Idol’s Kellie Pickler will perform Oct. 17, with tickets going for $10; and Granite Falls native Eric Church will perform Oct. 25 for $5 a pop.
Rounding out the schedule are performances from Third Day, Nat & Alex Wolff (of Nickelodeon’s The Naked Brothers Band), Jamey Johnson, The Temptations Review Featuring Dennis Edwards, Jeremy Camp, Tenth Avenue North, Blake Shelton and Julianne Hough. There is one more date to fill, Oct. 22, but as of Tuesday the artist has not been formally announced by the State Fair.
All concerts will be hosted at Dorton Arena, and tickets go on sale Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. Fair admission is not included in the ticket cost, and online orders will include a 15 percent convenience fee.
