Autolux Hits The Road With Sleepy Sun, Misses The Triangle

[UPDATE]
One of my favorite albums of 2004 was Autolux’s debut LP Future Perfect. Since then, I’ve been forced to fill my Autolux void a series of one-off remixes and tracks — including “Persons & Machinery” from UNKLE’s 2007 album War Stories.

Well it looks like the dry spell is soon to end. The Los Angeles-based trio has been working on its sophomore album, Transit Transit, and even released the single “Audience No. 2″ in May.

“Audience No. 2″ by Autolux

In support of that album (hopefully), Autolux will hit the road this summer with San Francisco’s Sleepy Sun. Sleepy Sun’s tour includes a stop in Durham on Sept. 6 at the Duke University Coffee House, but it looks like Autolux will be in Lexington, Kentucky that night.

Touring site Pollstar initially listed the two bands as playing together at Duke University.

Anyone familiar with Autolux knows that East Coast tours are very few and far between, so try to hit up the Black Cat on Sept. 8 since that’s the closest their coming to the Triangle.
