It’s been 11 years since The Jesus Lizard released an album of new material, but the seminal alternative rock band is hitting the road this year and plans to make a stop in the Triangle on Nov. 5.

The original lineup of The Jesus Lizard is set to perform at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, however ticket information has not yet been revealed.

Touch & Go Records recently reissued five of the the band’s albums: 1990’s Head, ’91’s Goat, ’92’s Liar, ’94’s Down and the 1989 EP Pure. The current tour is The Jesus Lizard’s first since they broke up in 1999, and the first with drummer Mac McNeilly since he left the band in 1997.
