Chapel Hill-based orchestral folk group Lost in the Trees will hit the road beginning this weekend at the 30th annual Festival for the Eno.
The band is set to cross the country in Trekky Records‘ “bluebird school bus” in support of their most recent release, 2008’s All Alone in an Empty House. According to an update from Trekky Records, Lost in the Trees is bringing with them “a fresh new pressing of [the album] and a solidified live band.”

In addition to their July 4 performance at Festival for the Eno, the band will bring their live show back to the Carolinas with a show at The Blind Tiger in Greensboro on July 16, and finally at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro on July 19 with fellow Chapel Hill band The Kingsbury Manx and Durham’s The Midtown Dickens.
Lost in the Trees is an elaborate venture from Ari Picker — an ex-member of The Never – in which he composes the orchestral arrangements that set the band apart in their class of folk artists.
