Lil’ Wayne Might Really Make Up That Raleigh Date

Since canceling his Halloween performance at the RBC Center, Lil’ Wayne has returned to the Carolinas, but has thus far failed to make a return to the city that he canceled on.

This looks to change when Wayne performs at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion on Aug. 8. Joining Weezy will be Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy and Drake.

The show will more than likely be a lot different from what fans could have expected at his Halloween concert. At the time, Lil’ Wayne was touring in support his sixth studio album, Tha Carter III. This time around, Wayne will hit the road behind his debut rock album, Rebirth, and the auto-tune galore of the album’s first single “Prom Queen.”

Ticket information for the Young Money Presents: America’s Most Wanted Music Festival has not been revealed.

Rebirth is due in stores through Cash Money Records on Aug. 18, while Jeezy’s Thug Motivation 103 is due later in 2009 along with Drake’s Thank Me Later. Soulja Boy will release his third studio album, The DeAndre Way, on Aug. 25.

UPDATE: David Menconi over at the N&O’s “On the Beat” blog reports that tickets go on sale Friday, June 19 at 10 a.m.
