New roommates Stuart McLamb of The Love Language and Mike Dillon of Gross Ghost recently collaborated on a track that Dillon says “makes me think of summer.”
“Lurker” is “a fun, breezy, stoned in the hot summer sun kinda song,” McLamb adds.
McLamb says the song is mostly Dillon but also features McLamb on backing vocals and bass samples from legendary Motown bassist James Jamerson (a.k.a. Stu).
The track was recorded at McLamb and Dillon’s house while working on demos for a new Gross Ghost album, the follow-up to the recently released Miggaz.
You can check out the track over at Gross Ghost’s MySpace page. Coming up, you can catch Gross Ghost on Sessions at Studio B on Aug. 20.
Also, the Carrboro Ninja caught up with Stuart and Dillon when their respective bands performed at The Pour House on May 9 along with Whatever Brains.
[UPDATE] Stu pulled a fast one; he’s on bass, they’re not Jamerson samples.

Hey Jake.
Thanks for talking about Lurker….there’s no bass sample of James Jamerson, haha. Stu was just making a joke about his bass style.
See you soon Man!!!
