Squirrel Nut Zippers expatriate Andrew Bird will hit the road beginning Sept. 29 for a tour with St. Vincent. The tour is set to bring the pair through the Triangle with a two-night engagement at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro on Oct. 7 and 8.
Tickets for both performances go on sale July 10 through eTix for $25.
Andrew Bird’s latest release is Noble Beast — which saw a release on Jan. 20 — while St. Vincent released her sophomore album, Actor, on May 5.

Although not an official member of Chapel Hill’s Squirrel Nut Zippers, Bird found initial success contributing his violin to the albums Hot, Perennial Favorites and Bedlam Ballroom. Bird began his trek as a frontman with the 1997 release of Thrills with his band Andrew Bird’s Bowl of Fire.
