OK, so it’s more like “They Are Coming To The Museum Of Art.”

The North Carolina Museum of Art has a great season lined up, including performances from Pink Martini, Toubab Krewe, Bettye Lavette, Annuals, The Old Ceremony, Bob Margolin, John Dee Holeman, Doc Watson and many, many more. Now comes word that alternative rock goof balls They Might Be Giants will perform two shows on Sept. 19.

Recently becoming known for their children’s albums, the band will give a “kid-friendly” show earlier in the day, followed by an “adult” show that evening. The kids show is scheduled to kickoff at 4 p.m., while the adult show will be at 8 p.m.

No doubt the kids performance will features songs from No!, Here Come the ABCs and the Grammy Award winning Here Come the 123s. The band is currently working on a fourth children’s album, Here Comes Science.

As for adults, there should be an array of hits spanning They Might Be Giants’ other 10 albums and 21 EPs.

Tickets for the kids show are $18 for adults and $9 for kids between the ages 3 and 12. Tickets for the adults show are also $18 for adults and children between 7 and 12 are $7.50.
