Jason Michael Carroll has come a long way from his humble beginnings in Franklin County, but as evident from his most recent Top 20 hit “Where I’m From,” Carroll still holds true to his rural roots.

“I’ve sat on that wooden pew in my daddy’s church and I grew up on a tobacco farm, watching all of those good faith deals go down out in the field. I knew exactly what that song was about and hoped that other people would too,” Carroll says.
Carroll released his highly anticipated sophomore album, Growing Up Is Getting Old, just last week, and while a handful of the songs are not actually penned by Carroll himself, the album is his most autobiographical to date.
“Recording this new album was my chance to prove that all that success from my first record wasn’t a fluke,” Carroll explains of the album. “I think this album will show my fans how much I’ve grown musically over the past two years.”
