One of the most anticipated releases coming out of the Triangle this year is Bombadil’s new album Tarpits and Canyonlands.
The album will officially see the light of day through Ramseur Records on July 7, and the band has revealed that they will celebrate the release on July 10 at Cat’s Cradle. After the release, Bombadil plans to hit the road for an extensive tour is support of the album.

In the mean time, check out Twangville’s review of Tarpits and Canyonlands, in which the publication claims “these guys are prime candidates to become quite the hit on the festival circuit, specifically up and down the east coast.” I’ve had the pleasure of listening to the album over the last week and a half, and I must say it’s well worth the wait … hopefully I’ll have a review up later in June.
