Not many bands have hit the local music scene with as much gusto as Carrboro-based alt-country outfit Lafcadio. But in less than a year, the band was one of the first to sign with Chapel Hill’s Vinyl Records and has released a phenomenal debut EP.
SetlistSeven Leagues |
The band celebrated the release of its self-titled album on Jan. 30 at Local 506 in Chapel Hill along with fellow labelmates Apollo and Lake Inferior. The show was packed and energy was high for the release party, and it was obvious from the start that those three groups were among the strongest coming out of the Triangle.
Lafcadio will perform at The Cave in Chapel Hill on May 9 along with Carrboro’s The Whiskey Smugglers. The show will be the band’s last for a few months while the members take on internships, work and sun throughout the summer.
