Although the folks over there can’t reveal much information, Schoolkids Records announced that it will unveil an online music store on May 1.
Customers will be able to purchase and download music from Schoolkids without having to go to the Hillsborough Street location. This is awesome news for the iPod generation, but a bummer for those of us who still appreciate holding a physical copy of an album.
The store says, “The selection is rapidly expanding, and the mp3s for sale will be of the highest quality ever offered by a digital site.”
The new site is being developed by the Coalition of Independent Music Stores and ThinkIndie. The ThinkIndie Web site links to http://www.schoolkidsrecords.com; so more than likely that will be the goto site for all of your digital indie needs.
