The Love Language stopped by Shirk Music and Sound in downtown Chicago on April 2 to record a few live renditions of songs from the band’s debut album for HearYa indie music blog.

On top of performing “Manteo,” “Nocturne,” “Providence” and “Greycourt” from the self-titled album, The Love Language also laid down the unreleased track “Blue Angel,” which frontman Stuart McLamb also performed on Sessions at Studio B.

You can download the tracks at the HearYa Web site as well as check out a video for the song “Blue Angel.”

The band is set to perform a free show this Friday, May 1 at Local 506 with The Huguenots and Americans in France. The concert will be put on by The Daily Tar Heel’s “Diversions” entertainment section. The Love Language will also perform May 9 at The Pour House and May 23 at Cat’s Cradle with The Old Ceremony.
