Embarrassing Fruits Ready To Hit The Road

Hot on the heels of the release of Community / Exploitation, Chapel Hill’s Embarrassing Fruits will hit the road starting on Wednesday in support of their new album.

The tour is set to kick off with a performance at The Cave in Chapel Hill on April 22, and carry the band through North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Maryland. It is scheduled to wrap up May 15 with a show at Nightlight in Chapel Hill.

Embarrassing Fruits will also perform at Local Beer, Local Band with Richmond’s Prabir and The Substitutes on May 7 at Tir Na Nog in Raleigh. A couple festival performances are scheduled as well for this summer; including TRKfest 2009 on June 13 in Pittsboro and That Thing We Did Fest on Aug. 8 in Sanford. 

Community / Exploitation was released March 24 through Trekky Records. It is available online and through all local music outlets — CD Alley, Bull City Records and Schoolkids Records. The album is Embarrassing Fruits first full-length release.
