It looks like U2 isn’t the only blockbuster rock tour coming through Raleigh this year. Aerosmith will hit the road in June with ZZ Top, and the tour is scheduled to bring the two classic rock bands to Raleigh on July 7.

Not much else is known about the event, including the venue. However, looking through the surrounding dates, we can probably expect the show to be at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion.

Tickets for the tour, which is sponsored by Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, will begin going on sale April 17 through Live Nation, but the exact on sale date for the Raleigh performance is not yet known.

A press release from Live Nation says Aerosmith is currently in the studio working on a new album. ZZ Top will release its Rick Rubin-produced new album later this year.
