Recorded in 2008 at Magpie Cage studios in Baltimore, Md. with producer J. Robbins, Hammer No More the Fingers will release its debut LP through Durham-based Churchkey Records on April 7.

“Nobody Knows” by HNMTF

Looking For Bruce is the second release from the Durham-based indie rock band. The band released a self-titled EP in 2007 through Chapel Hill’s Power Team Records.

Hammer No More the Fingers will celebrate the release of Looking For Bruce with a two-night event in Durham dubbed Viking Storm. The shows will be April 3 at The Pinhook and April 4 at Duke Coffeehouse. Tickets for The Pinhook show are $5 while tickets for the Duke Coffeehouse are $10 and include a copy of Looking For Bruce.

“Shutterbug” by HNMTF

During the Viking Storm weekend,  Tooth, Caverns, The Bronzed Chorus and Pink Flag will perform at The Pinhook; and The Dry Heathens, Deleted Scenes, The Beast and the currently on-hiatus The Future Kings of Nowhere will perform with HNMTF at the Duke Coffeehouse.

In other HNMTF news, the band has been maintaining a pretty killer tour diary over at the Independent Weekly’s Scan music blog. On April 16, you can catch HNMTF when the band performs on Sessions at Studio B at 4 p.m. The performance will be live streamed at http://Music.MyNC.com.
