Progressive rock band Dredg will perform at The Brewery on April 21 during its tour in support of its up-coming album The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion. Chicago-based Maps & Atlases will support the band along with Winston-Salem’s Telescreen, who toured with Dredg in the fall.

During a concert in Boston on Nov. 4, 2008, Dredg frontman Gavin Hayes revealed plans to release the new album on March 24, 2009. However, a Jan. 12 update on the band’s Web site revealed that the release would be pushed back to April.

“We are currently in the middle of mixing and putting the final touches on our new record and are on schedule for an April release,” the Web site reads. “Unfortunately, our original March 24 release date has been pushed back due to unavoidable consequences and our constant search for perfection. The album artwork is presently being conceptualized with the help of the brilliant and creative Rohner Segnitz of Division Day.”

Maps & Atlases released the five-song EP You And Me And The Mountain on July 16, 2008 and Telescreen recently signed with North Carolina label Tragic Hero Records — home of Alesana, Boxbomb, The Hotness, Yearling and Called to Arms.
