Clayton Center Turns Blue With Johnny Winter, John Dee Holeman On March 14

The Clayton Center will host if fourth Blues Bash on March 14, and headlining the show will be legendary blues guitarist Johnny Winter as well as Orange County native John Dee Holeman.

“We are thrilled to feature Johnny Winter this season,” Heidi Stump, executive director of The Clayton Center, said. “The Blues Bash is always such a popular show, and Johnny and John Dee Holeman are a dynamic pairing for this event.”

Tickets for the show are $22 and may be purchased by phone at (919) 553-1737, at The Clayton Center box office or online.

Born in Orange County in 1929, Holeman has played the blues since he was 14 years old. In 1988, he earned a National Heritage Fellowship, the highest cultural award of the National Endowment for the Arts; Holeman also accepted the North Carolina Folk Heritage Award in 1994.
