If you happen to be in the Los Angeles area on Thursday, Jan. 15, Phonte Coleman says extras are needed for the music video for Evidence’s latest single “For Whom The Bell Tolls.”

Best known as one-third of hip-hop group Dilated Peoples, Evidence released The Layover EP featuring “For Whom The Bell Tolls” on Nov. 25, 2008. The single features contributions from rappers Blu and Will.i.am as well as Durham’s Phonte of Little Brother and The Foreign Exchange.

Phonte wrote on his MySpace blog that the producer for the video is “looking for extras that can come to Altadena [California] on Thursday at 1 p.m. dressed for a funeral — suits or shirts and ties for men, and dark dresses for woman. All ages [are] welcome.”

Anyone who is interested should send their contact info, photo, height and age to samjoe01@hotmail.com.

In other Phonte news, The Foreign Exchange released a limited vinyl edition of Leave It All Behind on Jan. 13. Only 1,000 copies of the record were pressed, and each is individually numbered. Phonte and producer Nicolay have autographed 80 copies that are only available through Nicolay’s Web store.
