John Harrison of Chapel Hill’s North Elementary will hit the road with Eskimo Kiss Records labelmates The Good Graces. Harrison will perform North Elementary tracks on banjo and acoustic guitar during the three-day tour.

The mini-tour will make a stop at The Cave in Chapel Hill on Jan. 22, and Charlotte-based Anna Bullard will share the bill with Harrison and The Good Graces.

North Elementary celebrated the release of Not for Everyone Just for You after two years on the shelf at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro on Jan. 9.

“This record became almost a monkey on my back, because I do think it’s special,” Harrison told the News & Observer’s David Menconi. “It came together in a way that made me want to take care of it and give it the best opportunity to be out there. It wasn’t about money, it was about wanting to work with people who identified with it as much as I did.”

Harrison and the rest of North Elementary will host another album release party at the Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh on Feb. 28. Not for Everyone Just for You is set to be released Feb. 24 with preorders beginning around the end of January.
