Glasvegas Cancels; Jimmy Buffett Does His Thing

On Jan. 7 we revealed that the Triangle Music blog had uncovered some Glasvegas dates including a stop at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro on March 25.

Now comes the news through the same blog that the Glasgow, U.K. band has canceled its Triangle appearance. Tickets purchased through etix will be refunded automatically.

While the Triangle may be missing out on some U.K. alternative pop, the area will get a healthy dose of cheeseburgers and margaritas when Jimmy Buffett comes to town.

On the Beat’s David Menconi revealed that the perennial beach bum will perform at the Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek on April 23. Tickets for the performance will go on sale Jan. 31.
